The work that went into creating the physical canvas was much more time consuming than the actual application of the paint itself. I painted this in one day.
I am not a artist that takes a photo and paints it. This painting isn't from an image I saw. The stars and colors are from my imagination. I like the balance of the planets, the motion of the celestial clouds and the overall color decisions that I made on the way.
The surface of this canvas is unique in the texture. It is very hard to get a good photo of. The additional texture added a lot of weight to the piece and is unusually heavy to anyone used to handling art.
