In this surreal painting I'm illustrating a change of thought. I enjoy the idea of exploring the unknown. There are several sections that I'd like to talk about. One is the broken green globes that have the red inside of them, These represent seeds of thoughts that are out in the open now. The unbroken seed at the bottom is a thought that hasn't been committed to action yet. From the top center to the bottom left there is a tear in the atmosphere. This represents a more dramatic change or unavoidable turning point that can't be controlled or stopped by anyone. The grassy platforms represent a place of life and solace. The blue stones represent the structure of life holding everything together, to grow from. The green flowing and twisting shapes are new concepts of thought. The water on the bottom signifies the method of travel that we began exploring greater distances thousands of years ago. The lightening represents the dangers that the people experienced and the risks they took to make a new discovery.
