Welcome to one of the latest paintings I've created. i finished this hours ago on November 28, 2004.
I moved away from using white paint to polish this piece up and went with black paint instead. It turns out that a black painting is very hard to photograph however I managed to the above image that highlights the high points on the canvas.
I started this piece a few months ago and had to wait a long time to let the multimedia harden. Then I continued to build it up further and again, had to let it harden. I sanded it down with some sandpaper earlier today and got it ready.
This work has more of a darker influence and often when I was working on it i saw the face of a devil. The horn on the top of the head with the distorted face really has an affect to the piece which also influenced me to paint it black. This isn't the happiest face I've created but fit the mood I was in today and the piece was quickly finished off. It did take me a while to polish the paint because i am out of one of the mediums that i use to help make it look just right.
