Oregon Girl

This painting has the mixed media build up on it and then painted using a gray scale. This painting has an abrasive powder blown on the top of it and then spray varnish to seal it. It is an unusual effect. I started this painting with nothing in mind other than wanting to use a profile of a person. I enjoyed using the mountainside as well.

I've renamed this painting in the early part of 2004 from A Brain Runs Through It to its new title Oregon Girl. I was dating a girl named Marlene that fell in love with this work. She owns it now. We used to talk about the different things that it meant to us and it was fun to share that.
