This painting has quite an organic structure to it which probably reflects the state I was in. This painting was prior to some minor surgery that I was going to be undertaking shortly after the summer session at the Art Institute was over.
I've Been Gifted With The Thing That You Want is titled after a lyric from The Pretenders that I thought was very clever. To me, the title fit this painting quite well because I was receiving some criticism on this piece during its creation from some of my fellow classmates. As I looked at what they were struggling with I felt that they shouldn't be criticizing me too much.
