I began this series with this piece which I finished quite quickly. Once it dried completely, I went back into the painting and gave it some final touches. Living far enough away from my favorite art store I waited for the weekend to purchase more stretcher bars and keep the creativity flowing. I enjoyed the dimension of this canvas so much while I worked on it I decided to build the exact canvas size again but had no idea what I would do with it. I continued to look at this painting throughout the week and enlightenment struck me and I realized I would make a series out of this work.
The third piece in the Journey Series. Originally, this oil painting of sky and clouds did not have the tree or grassy platform. It had the sandy desert with the person walking across it and the low clouds that surrounding the person on the walk about.
