Writing on the canvas prior to painting on it

As humans we all have our wants, needs, dreams, prayers and questions answered. One way I have found to pour more energy into my work is to write out all of these thoughts onto my canvas prior to painting on it. I use a pencil and then seal it with hair spray. The hair spray minimizes blending with the paint when I get to that stage. There have been a number of times where I've taken a few days to write on the canvas. I'm usually working on another painting during this time but it allows me to think about what I want to write and communicate in the piece. In one of my painting the viewer can almost see though the paint and read parts of what is written but that is not the intent. My intent is to get my thoughts out of me and on to something physical. I'm able to look at some of my paintings and member what I've written. I've taken photos of them prior to painting over it but that is rare. The intent isn't for people to see but more of a spiritual release into the universe.
