It's all about the process! The more I've experimented the more I've learned that rules can be broken but the quality of the work is the most important and to never sacrifice or compromise. In this section of of my website I'm going to offer you more insight about myself, how I start my painting process, the tools, equipment and even how I store my art supplies.
Did you know that building your own canvases can save you hundreds and over time even thousands of dollars? I'm going to show you how to build a canvas from ground up that is far better than a store bought canvas.
Texture is a lot of fun to experiement with and when you get confident with using the material it can really get creative. Never stop exploring! Take a look at the dynamics of this page!
If you don't like math, don't be an artist. Math is very important in art. From composition to centering objects I use it all the time. In my Oh No! Math! section, I show how I have to apply math to create a piece that later a photo of the painting was sold for for a music CD cover.
If you have never clearly understood what 3 point perspective is, this site is going to educate you. I've added some great features to that page from animation, stills and even a zoom feature that is going to leave you with no question on how to incorporate 3 point perspective into your art.
Welcome to my world, my studio. I'm going to show you a few pieces I've either modified or created from parts to organize my art supplies. If you are an artist as well, this may give you some ideas.
Overall, this section has been a lot of fun to create and far more work than I thought it would be for sure. It has been worth it. I do hope you enjoy. David
